Aesthetic plastic surgery of the face Brow Lift Surgery
The eyebrows form a natural anatomical boundary between the forehead and the upper eyelid. Their shape, symmetry, and position play a crucial role in framing the eyes and defining facial expression. A well-positioned eyebrow enhances the gaze and is closely associated with a youthful, rested appearance.
With time—typically after the age of 40—the ligamentous structures that support the eyebrows gradually weaken. As a result, the brows descend, often contributing indirectly to excess skin of the upper eyelid and a heavier or tired look. Surgical brow lifting is the only safe and permanent solution to restore the eyebrows to their natural, youthful position.
At THEOPLASTICS, brow lift surgery focuses primarily on the lateral third of the eyebrow and is tailored to the individual facial anatomy and aesthetic goals of each patient. Three surgical techniques are available:
-
Hairline (scalp) brow lift
A small incision is discreetly placed within the hair-bearing scalp. Through this access, the tail of the eyebrow is carefully mobilised and elevated. Permanent sutures are used to secure the brow to a deep fascial structure (galea aponeurotica), ensuring long-term stability. The procedure is completed with the removal of a minimal strip of skin, fully concealed within the hairline. -
Brow lift through upper blepharoplasty
When combined with upper eyelid blepharoplasty, internal sutures can be placed to reposition and stabilise the eyebrow at a higher level, enhancing the overall rejuvenation of the upper face without additional visible incisions. -
Direct brow lift
In selected cases, a precisely designed strip of skin is removed just above the eyebrow, with meticulous preservation of hair follicles. The final eyebrow shape is planned together with the patient, and once healing is complete, the incision blends naturally within the eyebrow.
At THEOPLASTICS, every brow lift is performed with respect for facial harmony, surgical precision, and a commitment to natural, balanced results.

The operation:
is performed under local anesthesia, lasts from 1 to 2 hours, depending on the number of hair follicles transferred (150 to 300 grafts) and is performed with the help of special microtransplantation tools and magnifying lenses. The hair follicles are moved one by one to their final position and are all single to achieve a natural effect. There are no incisions or stitches and the patient does not get a haircut.
-
The purpose of the operation is:
to immediately restore the outline of the eyebrows.

What you should pay attention to after the operation?
You will need to systematically hydrate the grafts for the first two 24 hours. Pain and swelling (when present) are easily treated. In the first week, the wounds on the donor are completely closed, while the grafts are fully integrated in their new positions. On the third postoperative day you can return to work, but you will need sun protection and avoid vigorous physical activity for a week. The final result is visible in 9 months.
