The MeDioStar is best suited for treating dilated vessels with a diameter between 0.5 and 2 mm. Treating hemangiomata is also possible.
A distinction is made between red and blue leg veins.
Patients have to temporarily forgo activities involving extreme physical strain or strain on the vessel, such as jogging, visits to the gym or sauna, hot baths and the like.
The interval between sessions should be at least 12 weeks. Reports indicate that vessels sometimes take several months to disappear. Until then, some vessels are even darker than before (coagulation of the blood). Patients must be made aware of this.
More than three treatments are not worthwhile for spider veins.
